Affordable Boats for Sale in Dallas, TX When I was 14 years old, my best friend and I decided to build a boat. We had no trailer and no driver's license so I'm not sure what we really thought we were going to do. It started with the idea that we would cut down a tree and then turn it into the raft. Now, don't judge me, because even though I was 14, I knew that what we had to cut the wood with was not exactly appropriate. We had a hatchet and a hacksaw... Well, we went looking on my Grandad's 40-acre farm for a tall enough tree to cut down and turn into a raft. Keep in mind this farm is right on the edge of west Texas, so tall trees are pretty rare.  We found the tree we wanted to cut down and proceeded to chip away with the hatchet. We got about 15 swings in before the oak tree broke our hatchet. Afterwards, I tried using the hacksaw which was slow, but somewhat effective until the blade got stuck. Chaparral's History During 1965, in the town of Ft.Lauderdale, FL, the first boat was made by Chaparral. It was a tri-hull design that was only 15 feet long and came with a price tag of only a thousand dollars. Later on, in 1976, the Chaparral outfit relocated to Nashville. Now, this was the town of Nashville, Georgia, not Tennessee. The move was made to gain a larger and more capable work force, as well as a larger facility in which to build more boats. During the mid-1980's Chaparral Boats was bought out by RPC Energy Services. Down the line, Chaparral was handed over to Marine Products Corporation in February of 2001 and this led to the Robalo brand name being acquired. Robalo was one of the first boats that boasted an "Unsinkable" hull. Marine Products purchased the assets and brand name of Robalo from US Marine in the middle of the year 2001. Jeff set off to help the victims of Harvey with his new boat. We wish you good luck as you do such a great service to people in need.  Several people have taken to their boats to help the victims. It seems that Texans and nearby Louisianans are doing their best to help people who need it most. A lot of these people have lost their homes and everything in them. This has sparked an outpouring of donations and other charitable actions from hundreds of thousands of people.  We at Plano Marine are proud to help Jeff get a boat that he can use to help others.
