I remember the first time I went out on the lake and went tubing with my family and friends. I don't think I could repeat that day for the life of me nowadays since I've gotten older. I do have many memories of being out on the lake with my brothers and sisters and some family friends being towed around while my buddy's dad did his best to make us fly off the inner tube. Today, I don't think I could take the savage crashes that would happen when I just couldn't hold the handles of the tube any longer. One time, we were going so fast, my buddy got airborne. He landed upside down and that was when we decided we were going to try to do a flip on the inner tube. We failed so much more often than we actually landed the flip. For this reason, we would wake up in the lakeside cabin and be quite sore the next day, but we would shrug it off and beg his dad to try it all over again.



I shudder to think how I would feel now that I'm about 30 years older. I still enjoy water sports, but I sure don't try anything crazy like flips... I have a hard enough time just from getting bumped around on a roller coaster.
